International Academic Delegation from American Institute of India Studies Visits NLUJ to Discuss Academic Collaboration
National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) hosted an international academic delegation under the CAORC–AIIS Overseas Faculty Development Seminar (OFDS) – India 2026, aimed at exploring opportunities for academic collaboration, interdisciplinary engagement, and institutional partnerships between NLUJ and higher education institutions in the United States.
The visiting delegation comprised of eight faculty members from different American Universities from a wide range of disciplines, including political science, sociology, philosophy and religion, history, life sciences, social work, geography, architecture, English, environmental studies, and sustainable development, representing universities and community colleges across the United States. The discussions focused on collaboration in areas such as faculty and student exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum development, comparative legal and socio-legal studies, sustainability and climate change, global citizenship education, and cross-cultural academic engagement, reflecting the shared commitment to addressing global challenges through academic cooperation.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Vice Chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur, and Dr. Sunita Pankaj, RAS, Registrar, National Law University, Jodhpur, who emphasized the University’s focus on internationalization, academic excellence, and the development of meaningful global academic partnerships. The interaction facilitated constructive dialogue between the visiting scholars and NLUJ faculty members and helped identify areas of mutual academic interest.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Om Prakash, Dr. Rashmi Mathur, and Dr. Neeti Mathur. The engagement marked an important step toward strengthening NLUJ’s international academic linkages and advancing collaborative initiatives in teaching, research, and scholarly exchange.
