At NLUJ, various centers and committees in their endeavour to keep the competitive spirit high, organizes a variety of competitions to test the skills of the students of undergraduate as well as post-graduate. The winners are awarded with exciting cash prizes, internship opportunities at law firms, publication in the journals and many more.
1. NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition
The Moot Court Committee at NLUJ organizes the NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, one of the nation’s premier moot court competitions and the biggest Competition Law moot court competition in India. The competition is organizedin association with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and knowledge and research partners, SCC Online and Eastern Book Company, under the patronage of the Competition Commission of India.
2. The NLUJ-NHRC Moot Court Competition
This event is organized by the Moot Court Committee of NLU Jodhpur in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and featured 22 teams representing renowned law schools from across the country in its first edition. The Moot Proposition focused on the critical theme of digital privacy, the public responsibilities of major internet corporations such as Google and Facebook, and the distinctions between an honourable acquittal and acquittal based on technicalities in cases of due process violations.
The Center for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law (CARTAL) and Indian Journal of Arbitration Law (IJAL) organise the Gary B. Born Essay Competition on International Arbitration. The Center has organized six essay competitions till date.
4. NLUJ CSBF Essay Writing Competition
The Centre for Studies in Banking and Finance (“CSBF”), National Law University, Jodhpur organizes “NLUJ CSBF Essay Writing Competition”. The themes of the competition revolve around extremely contemporary and interesting developments within the sphere of Banking and Finance, thereby providing students with wide scope for stimulating and innovative arguments.
5. Pranita Mehta Memorial Essay Writing Competition
The Corporate Law Society at NLUJ organizes essay writing competition in the memory of one of its finest student Ms. Pranita Mehta. The winners of the essay competition are awarded with cash prizes, internship opportunities with the law firm, publication opportunity with Journal on Corporate Law and Governance and merit certificate.
6. NLUJ International Law Blog Writing Competition
The Centre for Policy and Research in International Law (CPRIL), initially established in 2016, is a platform focusing on international laws. With its commitment to disseminating high-quality research, facilitating knowledge exchange, and addressing pressing global challenges, CPRIL is poised to make a significant impact in the field of international law.
The Center for Policy and Research in International Law (CPRIL) organizes the NLUJ International Law Blog Writing Competition. The essay competition is based on different themes reflecting the current issues. Students/research scholars enrolled in any UG/PG/Ph.D. course from any university are eligible to participate in the competition.
