Wing Commander Dinesh Singh Malik (Veteran) has joined National Law University, Jodhpur as Deputy Registrar.
Wg Cdr Malik brings with him a distinguished career of over 27 years in the Indian Air Force, where he served with honour and dedication. His tenure as an Senior Administration Officer (Fighter Controller) for 14 years in IAF was marked by his critical role in service to the nation. His exemplary service includes active involvement in critical national defence operations such as Op Vijay in 1999 and Op Parakram in 2001, reflecting his unwavering
dedication and commitment to the nation's security. He has experience in operations in a missile unit and air defense operations in Indian Air Force. His expertise extends to various domains, including administration, security, safety, procurement, employees’ relations, discipline and legal compliance, making him a versatile and highly capable professional.
In addition to his military achievements, he has shown a deep commitment to academic and professional growth. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from MSU Tirunelveli (2013) and an LLB from JNVU Jodhpur (2017), both with first-division honours. His academic journey continued with an Executive Programme in Business Management from the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, in 2021.
After completing his Short Service Commission and retiring with honour from the IAF in December 2021, he transitioned to civilian roles with remarkable success. His exemplary post-military selections include prestigious appointments as Program Associate at UNICEF, Registrar at IIG Mumbai, Senior Administrative Officer at IIM Kolkata, and Director HRDE (on UPSC recommendation) at NEC Shillong under the Ministry of Development of NE Region. However, he chose to serve as the Senior Administrative Officer at one of educational institute in Chandigarh and now he has opted for NLU Jodhpur.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is an avid jogger and has participated in numerous half marathons, reflecting his dedication to maintaining both physical and professional excellence. Known for his humility and strict adherence to rules, he embodies the values of integrity and discipline.
