National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ), in collaboration with the National Law University Jodhpur Alumni Association (NLUJAA), is hosting an unprecedented alumni gathering themed Juris Homecoming '25. The landmark three-day reunion, scheduled from August 15th to 17th, 2025, is bringing together over 300 alumni spanning two decades of graduating batches from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
The programme commenced on August 15th, 2025, with a formal welcome ceremony in the university auditorium, initiated by a Ganpati Vandana performance.
The gathering was addressed by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Harpreet Kaur, who delivered comprehensive remarks on the university's achievements and called upon alumni to contribute towards elevating the institution to greater heights through sustained collaborations.
Representing the NLUJAA, Mr. Shohit Chaudhry, President of NLUJAA, addressed the gathering and expressed profound gratitude to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor for conceptualizing and bringing this milestone event to fruition. The alumni pledged their commitment to continuous collaboration through various strategic initiatives.
Dr. M.K. Singh, Dean Academics, addressed the gathering, expressing appreciation for the alumni's unwavering support while emphasizing the university's commitment to fostering deeper collaborations in the future. This was followed by experience-sharing sessions wherein the alumni shared their memories and experiences.
The homecoming is witnessing several substantial commitments from distinguished alumni. The Advocate Dinesh Vyas Trust, through Mr. Jehan Jhaveri (batch of 2023), has pledged financial assistance of ₹20 lakhs per annum over a period of five years, totalling ₹1 crore. Ms. Sagarika Chakraborty (batch of 2008) announced the institution of a gold medal and cash prize in memory of Prof. V.S. Shasthri. Mr. Purusharth Singh (batch of 2008) has proposed the introduction of an Infrastructure and Energy law credit course, along with moot court and internship collaboration opportunities. Additionally, Mr. Vaibhav Kothari (batch of 2007), Partner at Trilegal, has announced sponsorship for the Corporate Law Summit 2025. In recognition of the enhanced collaborative spirit, NLUJ announced the introduction of a comprehensive mentorship policy through NLUJAA, set to commence from the current academic year.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sunita Pankaj, RAS, Registrar, followed by a group photograph and high tea. The evening featured several competitions and activities involving alumni followed by a cultural programme and dinner all curated to evoke nostalgia.
The Reunion Juris Homecoming '25 stands as a testament to the enduring bond between NLUJ and its alumni community, marking a new chapter of enhanced collaboration and mutual growth.
