Dr. Monika Punia is an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law University, Jodhpur since July 2025. She completed her PhD in 2024 on the topic “Protection and Promotion of the Right to Health with Special Reference to Clinical Trial Participants in India: A Legal Study”. She did her LL.M. in Human Rights from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal in 2017, and completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow in 2016.
Dr. Punia has over six years of teaching experience at reputed institutions including Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Institute of Eminence) and Manipal University Jaipur. She has taught a diverse range of subjects such as International Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Interpretation of Statutes, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law and Land Laws.
She has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences, engaging with contemporary legal challenges related to public health, privacy, gender justice, sustainable development, and socio-legal reforms. Her scholarly work has been published in journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC, and she has authored and contributed to several edited volumes on emerging legal issues.
