Dr. Gagan Deep Kour is currently an Assistant Professor of Law at National Law University, Jodhpur. She holds a LL.M. from National Law University, Delhi with specialisation in Competition Law and Market Regulations, followed by a Ph.D. in Law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Her doctoral research examined the trends of cruelty against men with regard to intimate partner violence through empirical data, and the issues faced by such victims. Additionally, she has qualified UGC NET. Prior to this, her academic journey includes working as an Assistant Professor of Law at Shool of Law, Christ University and Bennett University, where she has administered papers on Competition Law, Contract, Women and Law, Health Law and White Collar Crimes. Her research contributions extend to various projects, publications, and paper presentations, covering topics ranging from legal dimensions of domestic abuse against elderly, to intimate partner violence and gender bias in matrimonial cruelty laws. She is also the co-editor of Book “Dynamic Constitutionalism: Emerging Trends in Contemporary Society” (2023).
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Kour is the founder of an NGO based in J&K dedicated to community service. A legal professional with a profound commitment to academia, research and community service, her areas of specialization and research includes the domains of Competition Law, Law of Contract, Medical Ethics & Law, Gender Studies and Family law.
