Prof. (Dr.) Shyam Krishan Kaushik is Professor of Law. His experience is more than 26 years, of which last 10 years he has spent at NLUJ.  He has been teaching Jurisprudence since the beginning of his career. At NLUJ, in addition to Jurisprudence, He has taught Family Laws, Law of Contract and Law of Torts. He started teaching at the Faculty of Law, Delhi University in the year 1998. Thereafter, for two years,he worked at The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, as Assistant Research Professor. Subsequently, he has worked at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi (affiliated to Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi) as Associate Professor. Presently, he is holding the position of Assistant Dean of the Law Department. He is the Chairman of Subject Allocation, Time Table and Workload Committee, and Unfair Means Committee. He is also Co-Chairman of Library Committee. Also, he is the member of IQAC,  Academic Council, Executive Council and General Council of the University. He is the Executive Director of The Center for Legal Theory.
