Dr. Anjali Thanvi currently working as an assistant professor of law at National Law University, Jodhpur since 2010. She has done her graduation in science biology later pursued her career in law and did LL.B.(2005) and LL.M. (2007), from Jai Narain Vyas University Jodhpur. Her specialization is in Human Rights. She has completed her Ph.D. in National Rural Employment Guarantee Act – a tool for socio legal justice, in 2010.

She has the experience of teaching core subjects like evidence law, property law, Family law, contract law, Drafting Pleading and Conveyancing, Professional Ethics etc. and also specialized subjects like citizenship law, human rights, criminal justice system, service law etc.

She served as a lecturer at ‘Mody Institute of Science & Technology, Lakhsmangarh, Sikar for 2 years (2007-09).

She is the chairperson of Legal Aid & Awareness Committee (LAAC). She is also the member of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Womenand Centre for Research in Governance, Institution and Public Policy and Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies at National law University.  She is also a member of research board, member of Internal Complaints Committee and also a member of disciplinary committee. She is the coordinator of continuing legal education training program (CLEP) conducted by the joint efforts of NLU Jodhpur and Bar Council for young advocates.

She has attended and presented papers in many International and National conferences like ASLI, ASIASIL, on legal themes like surrogacy, environmental law, honour killing etc. She has conducted workshops and delivered lectures on contemporary legal issues at ONGC, Police Training School (PTS), AFRI, Army Public School, Government and private school children, for villagers at Surpura (National Law University has adopted this village). The team lead by her also participated at the 2nd CLE (Continuing Legal Education) conference at Chiang-mai (Thailand), 2023. She is actively involved in the legal aid activities undertaken by the students of NLU, Jodhpur during the entire year specially in the field of RTE (Right to Education), Act.

She has published a book chapter in GLOBAL THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS An Edited Compilation from Best Papers of Justice Dipak Misra National Call forChapters 2023, titled “Role of Forensic Sciencein Access to Justice”, Abstract publication in book of Abstracts-Published by: Brisbane Institute of Strengths Based Practice Inc., Australia. In conjunction with Centre for Action Research and People’s Development, India Abstract titled- ‘Community empowerment and Protection of Human Rights’
