Dr. Varsha Singh is Assistant Professor at the National Law University, Jodhpur, where she teaches Public International Law, International Criminal Law, and International Humanitarian and Refugee Law. Before joining NLU Jodhpur, Dr. Singh served as a faculty member at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
She holds an MPhil and a PhD from the Centre for International Legal Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by the UGC to pursue her doctoral studies. She has also been associated with the School of International Studies, JNU, where she tutored postgraduate courses in international studies. In 2025, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Sydney Law School, University of Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Singh’s scholarly contributions include numerous research articles and book chapters published in reputed national and international journals and edited volumes. She has presented her research at several international conferences and workshops organized by distinguished institutions such as the Asian Society of International Law, the British Academy, and the Melbourne Doctoral Forum on Legal Theory, among others. In addition to her academic work, she regularly contributes opinion pieces and commentary to The Hindu on issues of international law and global governance.
Her research interests encompass Public International Law, International Criminal Law, and the Law of International Organizations. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Centre for Policy and Research in International Law (CPRIL) at the National Law University, Jodhpur.
