The University congratulates Mr. Rahul Garg, (Class of 2022) on successful completion of the summer school course “Internet Law Research Colloquium” offered by the University of Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland. The programme took place in the month of June and focused on Internet Law. The course was conducted in collaboration with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, Harvard University; the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) headquartered at Geneva; the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as well as the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) and provided a hands-on experience in the framework of Internet Law Clinic. An array of topics such as cyber security, digital privacy, cloud computing, free speech were covered in the presence of practitioners, representatives of global policy makers and other organization including corporate houses.
The rigorous selection procedure for the course involved submission of a motivation letter, along with a recommendation letter and curriculum vitae. Based on these, Mr. Garg managed to get a partial waiver in the tuition for the programme. The programme saw students coming with great academic distinctions from all across the world, making it a wonderful study experience, in addition to a great opportunity for cultural exchange.
